Lovers

Spread across the night
They move in a dance in the darkness.
Down and up the moonlit canvas,
Their passion paints with brushstrokes of fire.
The rhythm of his stride tires.
“Keep going,” she begs.
He obeys her in a renewed frenzy
and fills all of her desires.
Exhaustion heavy upon their bodies -
Amore sweet like an aerial perfume.
Time stretched out in front of them.
Hearts at first light.

  1. I can almost feel what these lovers are feeling.
Just reading this makes me want to get hot and heavy. :)

  2. That's what every poet likes to hear! When our scribbles evoke feeling. Fantastic!
