All Aboard

The people load onto the passenger cars one by one.
Women wearing large brimmed hats and
Men with worn suitcases.
Young children holding toys,
Young men dressed in uniform.
So many tales untold.
So many mysterious to me.
The engine thunders.
Steam storms throughout the station,
Clouding my view.
Without a care, the wheels circle around,
Chugging forward, and disappearing into the distance.
I remain, to watch the next set of women and men
To watch where their journeys take them.
